Breard & Associates, Inc., a professional tax and accounting firm approached me to help them with their website redesign. They were not happy with their old design which they’ve had for years and wanted to steer away from the generic style that many were so used to. Before diving into design, we explored different options before selecting WordPress CMS as their platform. Ultimately, we found this to be the best fit.

Starting from theme research and planning, implementation and revisions, to building out pages, then training the client on how to add and update content such as adding blog articles and press on their own.

There was unnecessary information on the old site and new information added to the new site. The entire sitemap was reorganized and simplified to get their message across much faster.

Since the launch of the website in early September 2011, Breard & Associates, Inc., has been receiving lots of positive feedback – proof that their focus is a lot clearer and they are staying relevant in their industry. The new website also features new photography which was shot by the very talented, Loretta Wang.

TentBlogger.com Business Cards

Oh, how I love designing business cards. Something about packing info into a little card for everyone to hold in their hands.

For the month of July (a couple of days each week), I’ve been working with John (aka TentBlogger) on his new business cards. If you don’t know who he is, you should definitely subscribe to his blog!

John wanted a new design to replace the cards he designed in 3 minutes. Haha. The cards most importantly needed to be simple, interesting/memorable, and get the message across. Well, these new cards took much longer than that but I think they turned out great! I recommended a silk laminated finish, 16pt paper stock (with rounded corners on 2 sides) from UV Cards. I was impressed by the quality and thickness of the cards that I had to tell John to go with this.

After a couple rounds of revisions, here’s the result:

RJT Compuquest Website Redesign

Just launched RJT Compuquest‘s new website using WordPress CMS! Starting from theme research and planning, implementation and revisions, to building out pages, then training the client on how to add/update content such as adding blog articles, press, videos, and testimonials on their own.

2010 EFC Winter Retreat Logo & T-Shirt Design

Each year, the English ministries of the southern California Evangelical Formosan Churches put on a retreat at Pine Summit Christian Camps for four days and three nights over the Christmas break. 400 campers attended this year’s retreat and received a free t-shirt to commemorate the retreat’s theme: Christ Alone.

I could not have done this without the help of the AEM Board.

Hooray! Business cards are here

I recently ordered a short run of business cards from OvernightPrints.com to check out their quality. Take a look:

I think they came out pretty decent for digital press, but some of the cards were discolored around the corners (not pictured) so I can’t really use them. I’ll probably wait until this batch is close to running out and look at other vendors to try. It would be really cool to see how my design transfers onto letterpress, plastic, or other mediums for printing business cards – yeah, one of these days!
